19 November 2019 (Tuesday)
11:00 am - 5:30 pm
Please join the Dzogchen Buddha Path sangha for a teaching and celebration on Lhabab Düchen, Buddha’s Mother’s Day, conducted by Bodhi Lama Shannon Young, under the guidance of H.E. Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche. The 22nd day of the ninth lunar month is one of the four holy days in the Tibetan Buddhist calendar marking the major life events of Buddha Shakyamuni.
On this day we joyfully commemorate the Buddha’s descent to earth from Tushita heaven where he ascended to give teachings to his beloved mother in order to liberate her from samsara. By practicing dharma on this sacred day, not only do you multiply your merit millions of times over, you also join in celebrating the traditional Tibetan day of appreciation for all mothers.
The 2019 Lhabab Duchen Celebration and Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the beautiful Dzogchen Retreat Center USA in the mountains outside Eugene, OR. Arrival time is 11:00 am; the event will run from 12:00 pm until 5:30 pm. Departure time is 5:30 pm. Donation is $100 per person to cover the cost of food and offerings. Any proceeds will benefit the DRC’s residents and their ongoing translating and publishing projects.
